Transport Supervisor/Planner

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Traffic Controller to oversee and optimize our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in route planning, vehicle maintenance management, process optimization, driver management, and third-party logistics (3PL) vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Route Planning and Optimization:

• Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
• Monitor traffic conditions, weather, and other factors to adjust routes as needed

2. Vehicle Maintenance Management:

• Oversee the maintenance and repair schedules for the company’s fleet of vehicles.
• Ensure all vehicles are in good working condition and comply with safety regulations.

3. Driver Management:

• Supervise and support drivers to ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
• Schedule driver shifts and assignments to meet delivery demands.

4. 3PL Vendor Management:

• Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) vendors to ensure seamless operations.
• Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or discrepancies.

5. Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure all logistics activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in traffic control, dispatch, or similar role within logistics industry
• Familiarity with route planning and scheduling.
• Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and control desk.
